Morning all
I'm looking to repaint my swa 1501 bins. Anyone know where I can lay my hands on some suitable paint?

Right..paint ordered, my next question is how to get the "splatter paint" finish. Any ideas?

dabbing with a sponge? or maybe an artex brush.

Get a small diameter (aprox 1.5"), short (aprox 4") foam roller, a course grade foam is better, they work a treat. Before you paint the cabs strip off any grease and dirt or the paint will probably peel, 'sugar soap' is good for this. Don't sand them or you will remove the existing splatter, which will help to give a splatter finish to the new paint.

Just a quick thanks again. Both cabs looking as good as new, and for anybody else looking to repaint their speakers I can't recommend "Tuff Cab" paint highly enough!

Indeed, although I got the larger 5kg tin & I now have enough paint left to see me though for the rest of my DJing career!:eek:

I can't remember if this is the paint that people water down to 50/50 to get a better finish. More for the paint to stick better but I think this is for bare wood.

Still, good paint for the money. lol.
