Landlord not called me back about a booking

Hi people.
Couple of week ago I did a leaving party at a not so local pub and the landlord came upto me and asked if I could do a disco this weekend.

So i passed him my number and said to call me so we can talk about what he wants. I've not heard anything from him and when I call the pub noone answers.

What should I do? I dunno which date or time it is.

No signed contract, no booking. Leave him a message to that effect and move on, although if it happens again try and make this clear when you speak to him at the time - a lot of people seem to be quite old fashioned and expect that if they just say they want you, that consitutes a firm booking.

I always carry a pre-printed booking form & set of Ts & Cs with the specifics and the price missing, ready to be hand-written if necessary.

Therefore in this situation I would have had the gig details, a signature and a cash deposit before I would call it a confirmed booking.

I would pop down and speak to him. I know it's not local but he probably does still want you - just not very good at answering the phone. I doubt they would be ignoring your calls. :)

I know its not my fault but I kind of feel bad. I've even called the brewry to check I got the right number
