After the wedding dj Glasgow site working quite well for me, I decided to put together one for Edinburgh, now I hold my hands up as I am no expert when it comes to web design and realise this is way off the professional websites some of you have.

Any pointers, obvious school boy errors and general opinion would be appreciated :D

It's clean, fresh, simple, to the point, asthetically pleasing - i like it a lot :D

I would have sort of a cream background to the main content as a contrast with the background. Just now it makes your eyes wander all over the page. Other than that its good. :)

Hmm the first page on the site makes it look fake to me..

It looks alright. Bit more work on it...content wise wouldn't go a miss.

Pictures? Videos? ...your face looks a bit squashed too!

I can't put my finger on it...but something's missing.

Looks like you have knocked it up in an hour?

Missing that TLC. ;)

Nail on the head to what I was after Mr. P :)

I agree it does need more content, but I tend to struggle with that. The wedding dj glasgow site lacks content to but does quite well for enquiries.
I always think too many pictures and videos of random people dancing looks tacky and wouldn't attract the clientele i'm focusing on.

Took more than an hour as I built it from a blank page, no templates ;)

In that case - Well done!

My gallery page is probably OTT...

I don't think your gallery is Charlie - I think your gallery is great - It shows your product for what it is - Young & Funky with people having a genuine good time.

Mark is marketing a totally different market IMO (with this particular website) and I don't believe the sort of gallery you use would be keeping with the style and presentation of the rest of his Wedding DJ Website.

Also it's more of a micro-site for Mark (alongside the Wedding DJ Glasgow) and not his main website - so it probably doesn't have to have all the normal blurb and content.

Anyway, back to what you said Charlie, your Gallery isn't OTT at all - wish my gallery was more like yours (I just don't take pictures at gigs, as I'm tending to video most of the time (when I remember))!!

Thank you. :beer1: I'll remember that....:approve:

Right, :ontopic: - My fault! :)
