...for a 40" monitor.

I don't really want to spent £200 on a flightcase as the monitor will only be used for wedding fayres and an Xmas project.

So, anything similar with a bit of padding/protection?

I have spent the last couple of hours Googling but can't quite find what I need.

Sounds silly, but would the original packaging not be suffice?

:)

:agree:

Although a pain in the rear to get in and out, after selling them and distributing them for a while, you really can't beat the original box (providing it is secure in the van;) )

Correct. :D

No, the original packing is too big and doesn't really give any protection.

I don't know if these (http://www.chsinteractive.co.uk/electrical-components/tools-service-aids/service-aids-workshop/transport-protection-covers-plasma-lcd.html) would be any good?

Are you considering something similar to padded speaker or amp cover Daz?

Got mine from Bacsew

1.get a plastic bag that fits over it. or rubble sack.
2.nip to B&Q or homebase and get a space blanket (loft insulation in protective pack)
3.glue the blanket to the plastic. cut to size if need be.
4.cover in a cheap piece of material. (or rubble sack) and gaffa tape in place.

works for all my speakers and gives more protection than any cover ive ever come across.

cost about £5

I’m not sure what the cost will be, but I wonder if Hot Covers could make a bespoke cover for you?

Linky (http://www.hotcovers.co.uk/)

They mainly do speakers covers but I'm sure they could do others.
