Hi heres a list of the kit that I have got, I am trying to find some pics but havent located them as yet!

1 Black Cloth for frontage

I obviously dont tend to use the light screens anymore but I am still loathed to get rid of them......lol, nostalgia I suppose

Now i know that this is not the best quality gear but I have only been using it occasionally but now that I want to go back on the road again I want to make sure that I still enjoy doing gigs before committing more funds to upgrade the gear!

Par36's or Par56's LED's for uplighting
DMX Controllers

Projector & Screen

Please let me know what you think, as soon as I find the pictures I will upload them!

If I do enjoy doing gigs then I will look at gradually upgrading the lighting!

Well basically when I first registered on the forum I said that I would post up some pictures of my rig, as I cant find the pictures I thought that I would just post up a list of the kit that I have at present and also the stuff that I would like to add to the rig.

I would really like some opinions on the kit that I would like to add!

You just have! My backup rig sits in a shallow SKB 4u X-Case ready to go. To be fathough it took weeks to come as it was sourced from the states by a supplier in the UK. :)

Back on topic (i hijacked it ..)

Difficult to comment on specifics on your kit (there is a lot of it!), plus we don't know what type of gigs you do as a rule.

This what I would be looking at ..
* Do you have adequate backup kit at a gig should the worst happen. I notice you have no backup miser for example.
* How long this little lot is going to take to setup and will you get adequate return on your investment in time?
* Can you charge for the projector or uplighting and sell them frequently enough to get back your investment.
* Concentrate on items of 'core' kit, especially if you are going to use DMX as you will have more control over over your lights.
* Sell anything surplus ... you perhaps have too many speakers, non DMX lights can go

I've been concentrating more on presentation and on a less is more approach recently. I often spend nearly as much time taping wires and tidying as I do setting up.
