I have searched and searched but can't find anywhere that is big enough and will allow 16th birthday parites in my area :(

It needs to hold between 200 - 300 people

Can anyone local recommend anywhere please. Best I have found so far is Liquid in Redhill but it holds about 600 people so will look a little empty with 200! (and they won't answer my question about using my own DJ's)

Hi Sarah,

'fraid I can't help you.... wrong coast !! ;) ... but I wish you sucess

I would imagine, from a venues' viewpoint, that volume , of that age-group, presents a potentially collossal liability which could not even be offset by bar profits ?

Good Luck in your quest :)

I have been calling round anyone and everyone today and come up with

1. a golf club that holds 110 people and will hire the room for £120
2. a masonic lodge that holds 350 people and will hire room for £950

From one extreme to another

I could do with something in between really

Any local council owned venues? Guildhall for example.

Exactly the same viewpoint as alot of venues.

Do you have any large scout/guide troops in your area, if they own their own building they may be willing to hire it out? (a few do up here)

It's VERY hard to get a venue in Nottingham now for that age group....in fact - a miracle.

Hilton and Crown Plaza are the only venues left (I know of) who will entertain us.......at £2,500+

Yes thats one reason they dont want teenage discos the other reason is they can't make money form alcohol sales!

The scout and church type halls are too residential, I want somewhere that won't upset the locals :)

A big barn would be nice but I don't know of any.
