I usually do not work Fridays, but have done for the last couple..
My gut feeling is telling me that the market has changed rapidly in last few months.

Sat & Sun helping the inlaws finish off this place (cheap plug - http://www.stmalo-apartment.com) as the first guests arrive in a couple of weeks and it's still a building site. So I'll be fencing tomorrow (of the planks & nails variety) and painting out a porch on Sunday. If anyone wants a discount, let me know ;)

Its full fee you would expect to earn each night. I really enjoy it. Get to work with named bands and comedians etc. Gets a bit boring during the day if the suns not out but this weekend should be a good one

Nope first time in Leek.
The DJ I'm covering said it will get busy about 10pm tonight.. Not taking any equipment apart from my trusty play out system. There is a DJ booth in there where I need to plug into..
From the pictures I have seen it looks decent, but the proof is the pudding. I will an update when I can.
At least it will not be quiet, like it busy.

Just got in from Leek. I thought the night was good, last Friday was better for me in Yardley, Birmingham
Leek were little bit of tough crowd, requesting stuff right across the broad. Some of the requests i do not think settle to well with the bar manager, but I did not receive any guidelines apart from no chav music.
Floor was jumping from 10 to midnight, put plenty of bodies to the end. I think majority of them moved on to the bar oppersite as last entry was at 12.30.
I'm awaiting to hear further feedback from the Dj'ing i was covering to get a true picture.
Apart from that, enjoyed the pizza and chicken wings whist traveling down the M6.
Goodnight folks

nothing Friday (again)
wedding on saturday
have been doing karaoke in local pub 2-3 sundays a month, but got a call yesterday saying they cant afford me anymore.
the guy i replaced was doing it cheaper than me, but he spent half the night outside smoking and got drunk while doing the gig.
ive been told they'll 'get back in touch' when it gets a bit busier on Sundays, but i question how its going to get busier if theres no entertainment at all.

Not working this weekend, too busy with other stuff!
Friday night: Went out for a mates birthday.
Saturday: Filming my CV video, to send off to various companies that have requested it - then meeting up with some mates and having a BBQ.
Sunday: Just chilling! Going out for a drive to practice some maneuvers and will no doubt be doing some more coursework.

Masonic Ladies night tonight in Boorley Green near Southampton.
They're only just on their mains (I think the wedding in the next suite is getting preference in the kitchen). It feels like it's going to be a long night (well lots of waiting anyway).

As an aside, I've just finished a fence started by some " Professionals" . Couldn't work out why it just didn't seem right.   Then I realised it was built backwards!!! ( Yes it is possible folks)
