There is load of help being offered on this site.....

Can we clear up who is offering help for reward and who is doing it out of the goodness of their heart.

For Instance ...Angie mentioned Shaun does Logo's.....

Does he charge.....if so how much???

We have a couple of Website Gurus.....Vectisvibe and Marc J....spring to mind.Charging MDD members for your services??If so how much??

If you have a free or cheap service that may be of use......why not post it here???;)

Don't want to upset the Mods......my treading all over their Advertising Rules....SO PLEASE ADAPT AS NECCESARY.:) :) :)

Think this aspect needs tidying up....it may benefit us all:) :) :) :)

I think you'll find most of us charge. As for pricing, I can't discuss that on the forum as I'm not an advertiser.

They can't post services on the forum uless they purchase an advertising section. Then again, they can mention them in this thread as you've brought it up, but if they wish to discuss prices etc you'll have to contact them away from the forum. :beer1:

I think this should be posted in the Members section.

The Proffessional Wedding Network do something simular.

It's nice to help people out - but you have to give to receive. It won't work if people take all the time.

Martin...your services may not be cheap but the service you provided is outstanding and I feel VERY good value for money. You don't find many people willing to spend so much time (as you did) making sure the client is 100% happy.

Part of what I do involves web design and hosting services. For this I charge (even Shaun ). To be honest (and don't take this the wrong way!) I charge more than most members here would pay for web design, but I do host a lot of MDD members' websites, with designs they either did themselves or ported from an old host.

Advice on the forum is free (of course), but uninvited PMs asking for free help are usually ignored (you know who you are!).

I think it depends on the content.

I have had some proffessional work done for me by a forum member , and I ,of course paid , I have in the past offered my services ( landrover in all that bad weather) for the price of the fuel , and there's the difference , in the first instance , I "Hired" a proffessional , the second I offered as a favour.
