Hey Charlie,
I'm surprised no one has had told you about this tune, they probably thought you had already heard it, as I thought you had.
The older ones on the forum probably had this in their record boxes back in the "old days" and probably still have, in which ever format that they use now, I know I have.
A great personalised name check tune for you to finish up a night with, but not for every type of gig.
I sometimes finish with a tune by Portsmouth Sinfonia - Classical Mudley, guaranteed to get a few smiles and clear people out of a venue quickly, sometimes!!!!! lol:cool: ;)

Yeah...shame I haven't heard about it before...I'm going to give it a whirl.
Might get a few laughs.

Lol Charlie I used to play that for one of my regular Darby and Joan clubs. A lot of the older songs would be only 2 minutes in length so you would get through a lot on an evening. Hard work as well as you where always announcing while lining up and finding next one.

It's the equivalent of DJ James Bird, going "I know I'll play the birdy song"

Ohhh yeah yeah I know!
I wouldn't dream of playing it as my last song.
Say I finish with Queen or Oasis or Paul McCartney etc....
"Thank you very much, have a safe journey home etc"
Then I always play Morecambe and Wise quietly and fade it out.
This will be a good replacement I reckon.

I know what you mean, Charlie. I usually end on (I've Had The) Time Of My Life but then play in to Goodnight Sweetheart by the Flamingos as people are leaving. For my pub gigs it used to be Burger Off (title changed slightly for rude-words-filter) by the Dubliners.
