What's the name of the cable that connects the CD deck drawers to the controller on the HD2500? I think it's a 5 pronged cable? The same cable connects my cd drawers to my Denon DN4500.
I'm looking to split my main case (which is too large and bulky) into 2 smaller flightcases, which the CD drawers being in a different flightcase from my denon. Sooooo....I'm needing to order an extra long cable to connect the HD2500 to the drawers.
Anyone know what type of cable it is?

As you well know, my knowledge of the HD2500 is fractionally greater than my knowledge of Interstellar particle physics. :D :D
Google suggests via the Denon manuals, that the cable has not five terminals, but eight!!!
This long enough?

That's what I need ..... Maybe a tad shorter. Thanks Peter.

Just be aware Shaun that it has to be Denon specific wired in respect of handshaking etc. Not all 8 pin Din cables are the same and they're not all compatible or interchangeable. ;)

Found a US link for the part number but no uk source.. (as yet !;) ) :)

A custom cable could potentially be constructed by analysing the pinouts of an official Denon cable with cable testing equipment - but that really is a whole lot of effort and expense, which I dare say isn't worth it!

It seems to be an 8 pin MINI din connector.

Oops. :o :o :o Told you I wasn't an expert.

How difficult can it be? Therer's only just over 40,000 combinations with eight wires. :D :D :D :D

Are you still looking for this Shaun?
Steve's just found a few 8-pin mini-din leads (he knew he had some somewhere, but wasn't sure where ).
If you're still looking, he'll test them on the Denon later in the week to see if they will work.... you never know, we might get lucky! :D

Yes, still looking. If he could do a little test that would be excellent. Thanks. :)

Well, they're longer than the standard link leads and shorter than the ones linked to earlier in this thread.
