Talk about bad value for money.

£220 to hire just a jukebox with no lights, no operator, no facility to make announcements or speeches, no way to read the dancefloor & play the right song at the right time...and presumably a gap between each song.

In my opinion, anyone who wouldn't pay a bit more for all the extra benefits of a professional DJ must need their head examining.

My point exactly - they can get all of that for LESS from quite a few places :eek: :zip:

For a house party - this would be great.

You have music all night and it's unique.

For house party's I know a lot of people are hooking their Hifi to there PC and using Itunes to play music all night. Much cheaper.:)

At private functions I'll make a number of announcements during the evening.

Having said that, I did a pub gig on Saturday & didn't say a word all night...although I'll be making up for that tonight when I do a quiz at the same venue.

Great Idea. All the young kids and teenagers at a Wedding will fill it with the stuff they want to listen to... but not dance too.
There is a Bride on UKBride getting married next month that has booked one. Will be watching her posts after the event.

I'll be honest (From a Joe Blogs point of view) Please bare in mind I have good shares in ITV and I drive a nice BMW. Not ridiculous rich..but I do nicely....

...and I was having a house party - 40/50 family friends over for a informal affair, this would be great! Play whatever you want WHEN you want. I can alter the volume accordingly and I've got it for 24 hours. They deliver, setup, explain how to work it and collect it the next day.

It's not ideal for a wedding or private party...but for a informal gathering, I think it's great!

I cant see an issue with it actually- yes it's not a DJ but everyone has different tastes and requirements- if I was full time its something I would think of offering to bring in extra cash as there are circumstances where this would be ideal- given it needs to be delivered and collected £220 is fairly reasonable.

If this was a threat to my business I would view it as a 'missed opportunity' - my new outlook on business.
