We've now been in the "disco business" for a year and we have, almost accidentally, found ourselves in a situation where we have two different business offerings. Pub Entertainment and the Mobile Disco set up. (We have intentions of creating a separate identity for the two businesses with separate websites etc.)

The Pub Entertainment side is brilliant, we've managed to secure a karaoke residency and have other regular venues one of which has the potential to become another weekly residency very soon.

On the Mobile Disco side we've done probably 20 gigs or more including Weddings, Birthdays and Corporates. Having only been invited to one function in the last year as a guest, we were disappointed that they had a band playing and didn't have a disco, so we've still not been able to compare ourselves to what others do.

Our mission for 2010 is to improve. Improve our show, improve ourselves, improve our business and ultimately improve our prices. Who knows maybe one day I can give up the day job.

Rather than start various threads on here about how you structure a nights entertainment, how you work the room, use the mic, etc. which have all been done before. I thought I'd offer my services as a roadie - I'll help you lug gear in, set up, pack down and load the van, etc. in return for a night of observation.

While it would be good to work with someone who is positioned above our target market and uses equipment that we still aspire to own (such as top of the range playout systems, moving heads, uplighting, etc.) so I can see/hear these things in action and see how you use them, my main intention is to see how you work and what you do to get the party started.

So, if you want to help me out by letting me help you out, for nowt, drop me a pm, or reply in here and we'll see if we can sort something out.

Cheers,
Chris.

We operate in Lancashire and you are more than welcome to come along and observe.
System is okay - its a full denon playout. Sound system is mid range cabs on a good amp. Also have a vocal rig running on numerous occassions for the singer.

Sounds good!

My free weekend dates over the next couple of months are...

22, 29 May
12, 26 June

If you (or anyone else) have anything on those dates then I can possibly help.

Cheers,
Chris.

Hi

22 May we have a singing job in a pub to fill a gap, so probably not the best.
29 May we are have a Wedding as an agency job so won't be full rigging as not enough on the job (will still be okay, but my Martins won't be flying.)
12 June we have nothing on.
26 June we are up near Blackpool for a wedding, but its a singing and DJ job so full rig will be out, so would be a good one to see what we do.

29 May or 26 June you are welcome, but 26 June will be us on full form with the whole show running.

Yeah no worries if you pick up work I expect you to do it rather than hang around watching us.
If it runs into July or August we have plenty of jobs on so whenever you are free.

The links to Goodparty just go to the login page, so I can't see what enquiry this is.

To be honest after getting nowhere with good party, I would rather have 12 June off than spend time chasing my tail. I don't see my customer base being on good party.

Cheers anyway Chris.

I think I've got a right proposition for you.....

No need to Roadie.......

I have just secured 4 Bank Holiday type Kids Parties...ones really soon and you are not a million miles away from me.I have a fantastic rapport with the venue.

I'll let you do an hour and me do two.I can nick some ideas off you and you can do the same off me.....Using my equipment of course.

I'm doing so many....i'm running out of ideas!!:beer1: :beer1: :beer1:

It was someone after a DJ/Singer and 60s/Motown Disco in Stockport £250-£500 budget. Was only posted yesterday so might still be live.
