How delightful their customer service team is….not.

I had a missed call (a week ago) explaining they have set me up a free listing/account because they liked the website etc etc. (Usual cringy stuff)

He then arranged to call me, whilst I was at my computer screen – obviously to sell me their better/bigger package.

I agreed.

He called me an hour earlier than we agreed and I was in a lesson so couldn’t speak to him properly. He was very miffed and said he’d call back another time.

He called me the following day, unfortunately I was on the bus and my phone was on vibrate - It’s very hard to determine what’s vibrating when your on the bus….the engine or your phone or the speed bumps…

He left me a voicemail explaining “This is the second time I’ve stood him up. He was only trying to help. I’m going to delete your free listing. If you ever want to join Party Pop, don’t mess us around again! I was doing you a favour!”

I had a call from them a year or so ago. It was an american guy who checked my details were correct on their free listings. He then went on to say about the enhanced listings and prices etc and I said I didn't have time to talk to him as I was busy. I then counted at least 10 missed calls from the same number for 3 days and I really couldn't be bothered to talk to them. He finally left a voicemail which more or less said that if I didn't get back to him/them, my listing would be taken off!!!....it was FREE?

thank god. Had the same myself and it was an american guy talking to me. He was however very polite at all times and even when I said Im not interested it wasnt an issue.

these guys are based in america florida if im right

they ring you up as people have said time after time after time trying to get you to increase your listing which if i remember right is not cheap and for what. I suspect nothing.

They got me so worked up i said to them well delete the listing then i don't really care to be honest. and they put down the phone....

I got loads of calls from their 0800 number, 08000285085, which I ignored. A message on the answerphone which I couldn't understand. :daft:
More calls on both phones, until the crafty git at the other end rang the mobile on a witheld number. I usually answer those, since folk ringing from switchboards don't always appear on CLI.

A short conversation ensued, I cancelled my listing ( which incidentally, I don't recollect ever taking out :confused: :confused: ) and we parted politely.

I too have had phone calls from some American guy after first receiving an email saying that my free listing was due to expire - I don't ever remember putting it up there but I thought, seeing as it's free, what have I got to loose. I went on-line and put a free listing on.

Then the phone calls started, I had a few missed calls and then (like Peter) I got a call from an 'unknown' number, guess who it was??? :D

I was just about to set off to work but was happy to talk. He confirmed my details were correct then asked if I was near a computer - I replied 'no' so he asked me when was best time for him to call again, I said Monday. So yesterday he rang me at said time, and directed me to their website...

I kinda knew where this was going (especially with all the sales patter and huge website hit figures etc.) and eventually I just said, 'sorry I'm not interested in paying' and hung up. I then got 3 missed calls with one voicemail saying 'sorry we seem to have been disconnected, please call me on this freephone number...)

I didn't bother, can't be doing with hard sells....:p :D

He's been bugging me the past few days trying to get me at a computer so he can show me the benefits of their 'premium' listing. He claims Party Pop are always listed on the first page when searching for a wedding DJ....funny, I've never heard of them till he rang me lol.

At one point she turned to me & said "He's gone away & I don't think he's coming back"

Me: "I doubt that very much. Nobody's ever heard of you over here"
"Caller: "We come up 1st on google"
Me: "No you don't"
Caller: "What do you mean?"
Me: "You don't come up first... not for any relevant, main search terms anyway. What search terms do you come up 1st for?"
Caller: "xxx yyy" (Can't remember specific search terms he mentioned, so just using random letters)

Me: "No... I'm looking at p1 results now, it consists of....<Me reading the results, telling the caller who they are, who owns the sites, etc and explaining to the caller that I know 99% of them personally>

Me: "Not that either"

How ironic, received a flood of emails and phones calls (which I declined to answer) and came on here to see if anyone else had any experience. Number 1 listing in "new posts" !!!

So after finally answering the phone today, the american guy starts his schpeel...

I advised I have never heard of his company will do some research and get back to him if I want to procede. (said this several times before he got the message) to which he responded, - well when can I phone you back??? Persistant of what?? I declined his offer and advised that I don't want him to call me back - it was a case of don't call us - we'll call you!

Guess I won't be calling him back then, after looking through this thread! :D

Yeah yeah yeah--we get loads of clicks on our Google AD web site and no one phones--these figures are COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS.

What matters is your bank balance and whether their product is enlarging it!!!!
