I'm currently re-jigging the rig and getting the deckstand booth ready for the road. The overhead lighting brackets have arrived and are now fitted.

My question is how to clamp my lights on to the overhead bar. With the bar there are 2 options one being using the Ultimax 3m trusslite bar the other being using a 2m sect of trilite truss.

I've had the lights clamped on with 50mm G clamps but don't like the way it looks dangling down. Does anyone use the rhino clamps (see pic) as I'm looking at them as they bring the light closer to the bar and not so danglie ;)

If not what other clamps are people using?

iv'e used this type of clamp for years without any problems
mine have a removable insert so you can use on 50mm or 38mm tube

i would recommend the doughty ones, they arent cheap but the are very high quality and have a high load rating.

they are also great for hanging things ad mad angels on up-rights etc....

That's what I have. Forget plastic ones Paul.

Agreed- they pop out when you tighten them too much.

Search ebay for half coupler in the dj section and you'll find the metal ones easy enough
