I am just trying figure out why Mastermix are practically giving their CD collections away in the Spring Sale.
My order is in. Not much missing from my collection though. Their sale is really good if you are just starting out as a DJ. You could pick up the same £4,000+ worth of Mastermix CDs that I own for less than £1,000!! [May be I should buy an extra set of everything and sell it on ebay to make some money back (joke)]
I not sure I see the business sense in Mastermix having this sale. There is always going to be a steady stream of new DJs coming into the market that are going to need to buy all these collections just to ensure they are credible. ie. Professional E=MC2, Decades, Pro Disc, Classic Cuts, Mashed-ups, No1s, etc....
In my view I think Mastermix should be putting these collections in additional storage for future generations to buy at full price.
May be Mastermix know something we don't? Is licensing for Djs to change radically soon? Will all music wav files be available for FREE to DJ upon payment of an annual licence fee? I wonder.
