Thanks Shaun.
Ok here goes.. I am a 30 something Edinburgh based DJ who has recently retired from the full time club/pub circuit to spend more time with my young family. Whilst I now work full time in IT, I have kept the DJ business going I started back in 2004 and have moved into the Wedding/Corporate market (It just didn't feel right playing electro remixes of Lady Gaga to 18 year olds in a club, it was time to pass the baton to the next generation). I don't think I can imagine ever giving up DJing and still have the same passion for playing out as I did when I first started doing discos when I was 14. I have come a long way since then and I am pretty anal about providing excellent service to every customer. I am continually trying to improve my rig and hope to engage in interesting conversations/discussions with fellow DJs and entertainers about the mobile disco game. My current rig consists of a custom built audio laptop running Virtual DJ and a SERIOUSLY stripped down Windows 7 build, Allen & Heath xone62 mixer (with modded EQs), 2 x Numark NDX800s, Audio 4 soundcard, 4 LEDJ PAR 56 cans, 2 NJD Datamoons, Martin Raptor, Prolight Deckstand, LED starcloth curtain, 2 x MAcki SRM450s and of course a ton of other weird and wonderful gear that is really not worth mentioning as backup.
I have had many hours amusement trawling these forums over the past few months and hope I can assist anyone with any questions I might be able to answer.
