was gonna say would have to be about that wont get used very often then not with that power would be even unlikely used for something like glastonbury its to blooming powerful.. But still overpriced could get china to make it for half that afraid to say.

When will we in UK ever learn to compete price wise no wonder all our manufacturing companies are building in China or India now.....

I have a Laser company in town Laser Innovations Ltd and even they cant build for such a stupid price as £40,000 my mate laughed at Martin at that price said that you could now build one 20,000Mw and still make a healthy profit from that figure

And who is your mate? Wonder if they are an official Martin distributor..

Perhaps Martin do use individual parts from other countries, but the units themselves are built in Denmark.

There is a difference between the pro part manufacturers in China (QSC included) and the cheap units they sell on eBay :teeth:

Hate to say this I got a EU Pro4 laser system from Australia via China all QSC'd and everything now the best bit is the company that claims to make these Diode lasers is based in the UK?????

Im afraid that 75% of diode lasers are built in china on behalf of companies like Martin the Label is the only thing built by Martin designers to stick onto the product even the Metal shell work is made in Russia of all places. They only ASSEMBLE all the component parts as to comply with the made in EU label

do you really thing Acme build there own disco lights Nope even they're built in China now

we are in a world decline for manufacturing in Europe as China is take a major share of it as the same with India is doing with the chemical and telecom services industries there is not alot we can do about it

Yep heard of them too so many simular named links to QSC but EU Lasers comply with QSC regulations and are 10th the cost Martin are renown for hiking up prices hence thay get continually ripped with same looking products from the likes of Acme etc (why do I always thing of the road runner when I here that name LOL) beep beep.

As I said a local comapany Laser Innovations based in haverhill were laughing there socks of at the price you had been quoted for that laser for the price of that you could have had 3 lasers

ps. the first show was projected using a laser innovations chroma10... about 8w. the BR (bright beam) variant (green & blue) is 15w.

edit - not laser innovations, i meant spectra-physics

indeed. by the way, for anyone remotely interested, our cheapest RGB galvo laser is about £2795. 250mw (130mw R, 60mw G, 60mw B)

i do actually have videos of it in action, although i cant find the dvd with all that stuff on at the moment! if i find it, i will post a video.

edit - its DMX and ILDA compatible, by the way.
