Which is better out of the LEDJ and NJD 2mx1m starcloths and where is the cheapest place to buy one from?

I was going to get NJD but the wife bought me a LEDJ (Prolight) one for Xmas - and its fine, not sure if its cheaper or supposed to be inferior, but it does the job for me.

Has to be NJD. Better quality material, more setting/patterns, better controller.
Only downside is the NJD has a controller, Power supply and the curtain to setup where as some starcloths have the controller and power pack built into one.

Unless you DMX it in which case you lose the controller :)

Can you actually get DMX starcloths??? That would be kind of cool but a tad pointless.

The NJD can be DMX'd. You have to buy/make a converter lead but it plugs into the front of the power pack where the controller normally goes. Only limitation is it grabs channels 0-3 and they're not reassignable. But you can still daisy-chain the NDJs so one DMX 'feed' controls the lot.

It's not pointless at all when you have a bunch of DMX 'Mood Scenes' programmed onto your touchscreen. It's very effective adding the cloth into the rest of the scenes as it brings the whole look of the lightshow into line.

S&H cloths (well, the controllers) can be DMX controlled, you basically have 8 channels of dimming for each group of LEDs so can do some pretty cool stuff. Or there's a mode where you just have a channel for pattern, speed, min. brightness, max. brightness etc.

just noticed last night my DSB is a NJD cloth and yeah the NJD wins hands down!
