Covered for my friend at this residency last night 50th birthday.... they didnt dance much and spent most of their night tapping their feet.

Tonight covering for my friend again at his residency... doing a wedding reception tonight.

My plan originally was to have this week and next weekend off but. My friend needed cover he's had an operation and he cant work. So im covering both his gigs this weekend for him.

weekend off... followed a run of fri/sat nights or one or the other from 12th june onwards. All weddings apart from 1.

so whats everyone else doing?

Black tie function tonight.

I'm looking forward to using my £20 bargain.

I've also had my first spray tan (all over) so I can get some decent photos for the website. :o :D

Copied from my blog!

With the wedding season in full swing this weekend is looking fairly busy.

We have a DJ (Dave)out on Friday night in Market Raisen (Lincolnshire) for a school prom. Dave is ideal for these kind of events as he also DJ’s at Leicesters biggest student nights, including at Liquid Envy, Mosh Nightclub, Superfly and the Leicester University Students Union!

Saturday involves a store promotion at Jack Jones in the Highcross shopping centre in Leicester. These are really good fun to do, its 12-4 and involves the DJ playing a mixture of chart and dance music to the shoppers.

I will be at the Marriot Hotel in Leicester on Saturday night, we are providing LED Uplighting for the wedding breakfast and an Ivory Starcloth for behind the top table. During the room turnaround we will also be installing a 16ft x 16ft black starlit LED dance floor and a disco. I will personally be DJ’ing at this event which I am looking forward too having taken last weekend off.

Sunday see’s us doing it all over again at Barnsdale Hall in Rutland, we are providing LED Uplighting, a 16ft x 16ft white starlit dance floor and our Video DJ Andy.

Its going to be a long weekend, I will make sure that there are some photos uploaded early next week however.

Enjoy the weekend!

Not a lot for me at the moment. Nothing on Friday. Saturday night was a 40th at a Cricket Club (80 people expected, 40 turned up, most spent the night tapping their feet but a few danced later on).

13th Birthday party on Tues eve.

Nothing on Friday (no change there!)

Most of my gigs through June/July are actually on Friday nights!

done a wedding last night at a castle which was awesome. Played alongside a singer too and for the first time i provided image projection which was awesome, hoping to upsell that more from now on. Was a great night and I knew the couple from her 30th from last year and they are the nicest couple you could of ever hoped to meet. Great night.

Last night was the English wedding reception for the wedding I did last week in France . Nice little venue in St Margarets (next to Richmond) - only needed my RCF ART310as' and a couple of lights so a nice quick and easy set up and take down.

I know St Margarets well, as I drive over Richmond bridge & through there every Sunday on the way to my pub quiz in Isleworth.

It was in The Marble Hill Pub on Richmond Road. Oliver, the manager, is a really nice bloke, likes a bit of funk, rare groove and jazz, which is right up my street as well.

Nice one!

I don't know the actual pub, as I turn off the Richmond Road onto St Margarets Road a few hundres years before the pub.

Sunday on the way to the gig in Barnet ( Hadley Common Mansion ) I passed a road called Corbar Way ----almost spooky:D

Asked a :muppet: in a security car on the drive of a very big house on Hadley Common ---wheres.........house where gig was being held---

aah he said its down the road---seconds later the owner of the big house came out and said you must be the Barn Dance man--what a complete :muppet:

Brain dead or what--talking of brain dead could we have a smilie for that--after Muppets they are the next biggest category of people we seem to

Sunday on the way to the gig in Barnet ( Hadley Common Mansion ) I passed a road called Corbar Way ----almost spooky:D  Know it well Alan!

We did a double take the first time we saw it.

Unfortunately, although it's only up the road, it's a world apart (Doubt we'd be able to afford a portaloo up there!)... Still, there's always the lottery :D

Couldn't convince then they needed a disco too then Alan? :D :D :D

Moneys tight up there you know Angela--down to their last 10 million by the looks of it--I think they were trying to keep costs down--fund raiser for the local Synagogue.

Drive littered with PORSCHES AND MERCEDES but I did see a Skoda ( new ) I was planning to ask if I could call in for a cuppa but domestic things here held me up.
