I love the way he says that he looked at the mobile DJ booths but honestly didn't have time to order one...and yet he DID have time to design his own booth, go to the local DIY shop, buy the bits & make it himself!

I'm designing a more portable booth for myself at the minute - will probably have a go at making it over the summer holidays.

I love the idea of a booth/stand being lightweight. I don't think that homemade booths, with a built in U-Bend are the future though.

I dont currently have a booth pro or anything but I hate having to build my stand in the first place, to then have to build the surround as well. But still a cost saving idea if your not one to spend a few hundredd £££ on the surround & starcloth etc.

I thought exactly the same thing, but I assume he was referring to delivery time - although I'm sure he could have found a stockist nearby?

Lightweight is ok for transportation, but not brilliant when drunken idiots crash into your deckstand which seems to happen all too often.

The original reasoning behind the Chobham MK1 to MK5. ;) :D :D The Ultimax cloth just doesn't offer the same protection. :( :( :( :(
I'm gonna have to get the mig welder out again. ;)

It's not the same.
If I'm going to get a booth - I'll buy something that was built for the job.
