Rackmount Mixer

Hi folks,

I am looking for a half decent rackmout DJ mixer, Must be in good condition and have a 3 band EQ on the mic channels.

I will also consider a rack mount Live Mixer too.

I don't know if this is too basic for what you are looking for, however, I have a Citronic CDM8:4 that I bought off Ross at RSD on here. From memory there is a very slight buzzing on channel four, but I don't use channel four so it never has bothered me - it may be a simple fix!

Also got a Behringer XENYX 1204 mixer. I bought it new, and it works perfectly. I think I still have the original box, manuals, rack ears etc.

It will sound a lot better !

And will last a lot longer and be more reliable,,,

The overal build quality is just awesome.

Personally I find that Formula Sound mixers really do make a big difference to the sound, I'd never use anything else..

But,,saying that,I like Allen & Heath aswell....

I'm not in any rush to sell it,,

I use a 19" FSM400 and I love it so much, that when I saw this other one I just bought it !

It was bought by a nightclub to kept as a spare but they never used it,,,


Anyway,,just keep an eye on ebay,,you often see bargain priced Formula Sounds,, and the good thing about buying a used FS is that if it needs any work, they are made in the UK, (Rochdale) so easy to get serviced,,

And,,you can buy brand new faceplates, screws and knobs,,so you can easy get a brand new looking one !

Thats what I did with my first FSM400,, cost £60 to give it the brand new look !

Steve, another option if you didnt want to pay so much,

Look out for a used Denon DNX400

I used to have one,,exellent quality, Japanese built mixers..

Good sounding and really solidly built,,much better than the later ones imo..

It's a for a backup case that is also going to be used for quiz nights so going to be used quite regular.

I just had a close look at the unit and there are no scratches on it, looks as good as new!

Also PAT tested until May 2011.

Quite possibly, but from memory I paid around £140 for it. After a quick look online I can see them around the £120 mark, so maybe £90 is too high.

Wrong information there Jeff.

I was correcting the use of 'your' to you're'. The reason it had a capital was because it started the sentence. Something you may like to take note of. :p

The rules I was talking about are to do with putting a price on items for sale. :)

Only way it doesn't match your criteria is that it only has two channel control (bass & treble) for the microphone inputs.

You could have that for £90 delivered, which you can then compare with other offers you have.
