Situation is, at present I run the company, my Dad helps out DJ'ing etc because he enjoys it (and trained me and started up the business) and I have 2 cousins who help and have started going out on there own.
However........... Dad is getting no younger and my cousins have a lot of other commitments etc, which does make them a but unreliable (Last Saturday for example when I had all 4 rigs out).
So............. I am looking to start employing 'people' to roadie and eventually DJ for me. My vision is in 5 years to only be doing Race Nights and a few Wedding Discos myself, but have others working for me.
The problem I have is - How do you find reliable people ?? I do not want just anyone to come learn the ropes then :Censored: off. But I have not got a clue where to search / advertise for people. I have gained advice from a business advisor who has sorted out the legalities, insurance etc but even she is stumped as to where to search or how to find people. As she put it, you can hardly stick a job in the job centre as it is not exactly a 'normal job'.
Also if anyone would disclose (by pm if prefered), what sort of fee do you pay other DJ's with / without their own equipment ??
