Which current mobile DJ inspires you?

Many DJ's speak about which DJ inspired them when they first started out in the business but is there a gigging DJ today who everytime you see them performing inspires you a little bit and makes you step up your game?

Oh yuss. I sometimes fulfill the role of Road Crew for some on here. It's usually an educational experience.

There are plenty on here who inspire me to improve.

Locally, although ive never met him, i would say its got to be Andy (deltic), his whole presentation and setup is top notch and very professional.

I used to love his Friday Radio drive or whatever it was called.

A real natural--good balance of humour and inter personal skills--

Even if his Radio Drive show used to have the--- everyone a winner tracks--selected from people who appeared to have chosen them from a Mobile DJs collection at a Wedding i.e.all the stuff people on here play regularly at Weddings.

Fridays just arent the same whilst driving to gigs.:cry:

Max is fairly local to me and he used to DJ in a pub I used to frequent and I can confirm he is a very competent DJ. This was before all the visual stuff.....

I was inspired to improve my show by many DJs on the MDD, when I first joined in 2006 my show was ok but I felt I had to improve after seeing the gallery. I strive to keep my show looking good but have vowed not to spend any more on lighting kit for a while so I will have to be clever with what I have.

DJs that inspired me when I first started out were my cousin DJ Fergi (not the hardhouse one) and DJ Froggy who inspired me to build the best sound system I possibly could... :)

Doesnt Evans do outside gigs from time to time--hence Mobile--who said it excluded high profile personality DJs.:confused:

If your talking Double Decks Dave doing routine Weddings and parties no ideas--I cant really comment as Angela says--i dont think I would be inspired by routine Mobile DJs unfortunately.

My good friend Kelvin from KJ Sounds taught me most things:
how to do music in 'waves', Amps, ohms, Rare Elvis tracks, speakers, patter, checking equipment (and servicing) backups, presentation - the list is endless. At the time I just brought to the party an unhealthy interest and knowledge of music from 1950 onwards.

I like the production Max (Visual DJ's) put on. I would do anything to spend a day with them...see how they rig it all etc.

Corabr Entertainment - I'd like to spend a day in the office with. (I believe) they do more than just gigs? Live acts, comedians, event planning etc...mini agency? Something I'd like to do....but world domination. :sj:

In 15 years time....Where did you get your marquees from? Charlie Brown's Marquees. Caters? Charlie Brown's Food Delight. Stage? Charlie Brown's trussing.......You get the idea. ;)

I'd also like to see Paul, Martin & Shaun work....I'm sure there are a few others I've forgotten about!

I'd like to have Darren's knowledge of music & his ability to work/charm/win over venues. ;)

If you're talking about business inspiration, then I'd say Rob, as from a business perspective, he has his plan is hard to fault - assuming you have no wish to become multi-op. That said, his setup wouldn't suit my style, so it's not something I could aspire to anyway.

Musically, well we had a thread about this before and I think I said Alan (Propellerhead) as his musical choices are very diverse. Possibly also Corabar Steve or Shakermaker, on their residency nights too.

As been said Ive gotta say no mobile jock has inspired me but Ive taken loads of bits of advice etc.. from various guys mainly from here.

I'd love to get into the workings of a good visual show so Max and Jeff I wouldnt mind seeing.

Also the full time guys who make it a success.

Without trying to sound stupid, me. I drive myself forward, if I see anyone with something that is better than what I've got then I have to go a few steps better. I try to stay at least a few steps ahead of everyone around that I know, at the moment there isn't a mobile disco locally that I know of that has a show like mine. I do lack a few 'games' for kids and maybe a few ideas for the games too, I might try and introduce some games using the video screens such as wii games like the dancing games, need to put my thinking head on in that area. I'm not trying to sound 'crass', just tying to be honest. If I can't drive myself forward all the time then that's the time when I'm getting fed up with the mobile disco lark. As for now I still love every minute of it, but that includes the chase for the best that I can do
