Guys
Last night was my father in laws 80th birthday and so we arranged a party for him with all his old friends. I needed a DJ so i put the shout out a few months back on here and dj silver answered the call.He provided us with a fantastic evening and ill explain why.

dj silver ( simon ) turned up to load in and it was first a pleasure to meet another dj from these forums but he was so friendly and easy to talk to and we spent the next hour just chatting as he was setting up.

My wife had produced a list of song that we thought would be great for a 80th with music from the 40's upwards Simon not only got all of these and played them but also played some outstanding tracks which went down a storm and every one raved on how good he was. He allowed my brother in law to sing a Elvis number on the mic and went out of his way to ensure that we all had a truly great time.

His set up is out standing and he uses the Bose LI which i had heard lots about but never had the pleasure of hearing it live.....WOW is all i can say its so crisp and clear he had the double bass model and the sound quality was amazing i have done many many gigs in this club but i have never heard sound so good those Bose have a great throw and even close to it you can have a conversation and be heard.

If you have never heard these Bose L1 live then you should they are awesome and would make a great addition to any mobile disco.

Simon is a true gentleman and it was our pleasure to have him do the disco

Wow.....What an endorsement from a fellow DJ.

Simon doesn't post regularly but we have spoke a few times on the phone. He is an all round nice guy...prepared to take a back seat.....and represent the business admirably.

He has mentioned those Bose Speakers to me in our conversations....may have to have a look now.

Well done Simon!!!:) :) :) :)

Blimey Dazz I'm going red typing this, many thanks for your most kind words. It was a pleasure to do the party and made me smile seeing Lord Godfrey (the birthday boy) dancing with his walking frame to the Wurzels.

I have to say I was somewhat anxious about doing the party initially, as you are a fellow dj. I remember your thread last year about the dj who charged about £400 where you were best man and he didn't even have the first dance!!!

My turn now to throw the praise. You were a great host, never demanding, good fun, hospitable and an awesome dancer, okay so I'm telling porkies about your dancing!

Yes I must say I've never had so many compliments on the quality of sound at a gig since I've had the Bose. I don't know whether you saw but there were 5 people around the table nearest me, less than 6 feet away from the speaker and they stayed there all night chatting and laughing. Meanwhile people in the main bar, about 50-60 feet away were singing and dancing! It just goes to illustrate the exceptional throw of the Bose system.

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable night. I saved the play list so if I can I'll post it on here, however I might delete the Anne Shelton and Bud Flanagan tracks though, street cred and all that!!! :D

Again many thanks for your words and I look forward to meeting you and your family again, cheers.

Be my guest, glad it helps. I threw the Ovaltineys in near the end as a lady was leaving in a wheelchair so everybody waved to her ... a good laugh! :D
