Someone was relaying details of a party the other week where the birthday girl didn't turn up for the surprise party because she went clubbing in Birmingham with her mates ...

The least I have dj'd to at a party was 11, but I think that was due to lack of friends rather than anything else ... Shame.

I've done a party for an 18th where 13 people turned up.

I also had one where the birthday boy didn't turn up!

I've never had this happen, although I'm sure it happens a fair bit.

It's understandable for the birthday person to organise their own party due to not knowing about the surprise one.

I guess that's one of the disadvantages of surprise parties.

i recently did a surprize 40th where only 12 people showed, and most turned up after the birthday boy was already there.

Years ago, i did an 18th, the only people there were him, his mum, his brother and 1 friend.
