Anyone else finding it quite quiet for this time of year?

I was just wondering if anyone else here is finding June, July and September quite quiet?

Also have any of you noticed how people seem to be booking quite close to there actual event date?

July and September are good , but June was/is a write off.

I've had 4 this month, 4 next month & 4 in September, so can't really ask for more than that.

As recently discussed in another thread, August is the problem month here. This time last week, I only had two bookings. Fortunately, that's now gone up to three, as I visited someone last Friday who then went on to book.

Busy for me, including floors, discos and starcloths I have the following:

31 in June
32 in July
30 in August

but then it calms down a bit, only 14 for example in September!

Well, things are looking up a bit recently but people are leaving booking later than last year and also quite a few people are looking for bargain basement prices which I will not do.

Ive found this year to be one of my best yeat to be honest. Not quiet now (bar a week in August) mid October :)

I am finding alot of enquiries of late are for events which are only a few weeks away.

Prom season near us so its very busy at end of june beggining of july which is nice!

I am also finding this year very busy. Next free weekend (Fri/Sat) is the last weekend in September, with quite a few Midweek and Sunday gigs.

However, the phone is quite quiet at the moment and I am getting very very few last minute enquiries, which is suprising - not that I can do them anyway but strange nontheless.

I started a similar thread last week FAMINE OR FEAST phone didn't ring for 3 weeks no email enquiries then suddenly from nowhere. 4 bookings 2 weddings 1 engagement and a 60th birthday party. Plus I had to turn down 2 more as I was already booked on the dates they wanted.

Now thats over god knows when the the next enquiry will come in:confused:

I currently have just one disco in October, one in November & one in December!

this year I have only not worked 2 friday nights, and am practially booked up to the end of october (minus a few friday nights 2/3 which I know will end up getting filled).

I think he means mobile bookings not hire if i included hire i would be in to 4 figures.

5 in June
5 in July despite going to a wedding myself and Kev going on holiday for a week.
5 in July despite me being on holiday for a week.
3 in September even though was trying to keep clear for new baby arriving. They are all early in the month and due date is 30th. Here is hoping that works out.
October clear due to baby.
1 in November
4 in December, but that will definitely be 8 as filling the free slots will be easy enough and hopefully with singing jobs.
