just received an e mail from a customer wanting to send a playlist via spotify.

am i missing something or are there people out there who do disco's using this method.

This may seem like a silly question, and i hope is not insulting. Do you use spotify, either for work or personally, as i think you can send playlists over it and it may be easier to send our songs over that. If not thats totally fine and we will send over the playlist in an email by the end of the week.

I wouldn't read too much into it - it's just probably easier for your client to utlise the easy playlist compiling/sending of Spotify than write all the songs in an email (not sure if you can copy and paste the text from spotify).

If you do use spotify personally I cant really see an issue with him sending the playlist that way- I've had people send me a playlist from Itunes and I didnt see a problem with that.

It's only the best thing since sliced bread. :D :D A free site where you can listen to anything in their catalogue for free. As long as you can stand the adverts.;) I've often spent an evening browsing it and expanding my musical knowledge with songs I should know, but never bought. It's a godsend.

I agree - say you want to get a bit more knowledge of Northern Soul or 70's Funk for instance, just google 'Northern Soul Spotify Playlist' then import any of the hundreds that will come up, then you can listen to loads of tracks all the way through.

My daughter wanted some drum type marching music for a dance she was choreographing and Spotify was endless it the ideas it throw up.

I had this before, created an account and everything, but couldn't find any way to export their song choices to a nice printed list, so ended up having to take a screen shot, print, scroll down etc. until I had the whole lot!

I've also been a user of 8Tracks (http://8tracks.com/) for a while and I enjoy finding music this way.

I'm a big advocate of Spotify, and have found it to be one of the best resources I've ever found. Free as well, if you can live with adverts. Until now.

I had a dongle on contract for £15 a month, and decided to downgrade it to £5 a onth, and then get another £5 a month one on another network. All good, I'm £5 a month up on the deal.

Until Spotify inform me that I can only listen to a track five times for free, unless I pay, you've guessed it, £5 a month.

Ah well, easy come, easy go. :( :( :( :D

I was introduced to Spotify by their very own Premium Services Director ;) :D

In short, I did her Wedding last July and she sent me her playlist over via Spotify, it was no issue really. - i just opened spotify on a spare laptop and use that list to work from.

...It was a great night with a a good mix of English/Swedish people...I even got overpaid by £100 lol :D

If you have a spotify account and pay for the tracks, that would be an efficient way to deal with requests IMO.

I subscribed but did not want to pay £1.45 for something I could get for 95p on Itunes.
I only do 30 track playlist however so copy and pasting is no issue.
