So guys and girls,

Today is the day I've been waiting for, for like..... weeks!

My lovely little Jack Spaniel puppy is coming home for a day visit :)

Picking him up at 12noon and taking him home again at 3pm.
Very excited.... and nervous.

Any tips on how I can make the visit go with no problems???

no sudden loud noises may help. Is it a pre-visit or does it involve a custody battle?
May be as cool as mine one day (pic to follow if I can get this sorted)

1: consistency. set the rules and stick to them.

2: Also control food (especially protein) and do not feed before you eat. always after and do not feed to the table.

3: socialise him with other dogs and let him make his own mistakes. There is nothing worse than a mollycodled REMOVED wit dog that is scared of his own fart. I see allot of really pathetic spaniels especially in the forest with serious social problems. Not sure what it is about spaniels but they are pretty sensitive and develop these issues. I have lost count of weirdo spaniels i have seen. Look out for Jack Russels - I always have issues with them - snappy little REMOVED

4: Dogs are dogs and not little humans - they are still very much animals. Pretty obvious really but many people just do not get that.

I was pretty hard on mine when they were young and i hardly ever have to tell them off now and they pretty much do as they are told.

Here is mine :)

and of course there is no excuse for raising a hand to a puppy/dog - they learn discipline from your tone of voice.

Wow... what an afternoon.....

Everything went perfectly, and even the cat didn't freak out! :)

the puppy spent 3 hours at our house and he felt really at ease from what I could tell.
He was snooping around and getting to know the place.
