Good article, Darren...and obviously great publicity.

Your website hits will probably be a fair bit higher now, and I'm sure that will be reflected in increased bookings.

I hope Denon are paying you for that nice bit of publicity! :D

Great editorial - two quick questions -
1) did you have to take an advert to get the editorial?
2) did you write the editorial for them (i.e. a press release)

Regardless, I think it's very good and I hope it helps raise your profile and get more, and better, work. Well done.

Hi Paul,

In response to your questions:

1 - No I was approached by the newspaper to be included in there business section.

2 - No, I was interviewed by one of the reporters.

Hope that helps and thanks for your kind words. :)

Good article, wearing a shirt would have been a good idea though! Jumper says to me "pub dj"!

I agree I was kinda caught out with the timing ... and there's always one with a negative :p

Absolutely. Picky picky picky. I'm actually suprised no-one's commented "It's good to see no wires are visable." :D

Turn up to wedding in a jumper, Joe Blogs might look and make a judgement. But in a local paper newspaper piece? Come on!
(Besides, they're more likely to be looking at his face....

so I suppose they might be thinking "cor he should have put a bag over that head" :p (J/K) ...but not "Shame I can't see a collar.")

ANYWAY...Top stuff matey.... you clearly said the enought of the right things that the journo still managed to get all that good info into the piece.

Double thumbs up .... now....how can I get publicity like that?

well done mate, nice article and free publicity is good publicity.
Might be an idea to do a follow up article or do a collaboration with the paper when they have a charity event so you can keep the publicity rolling.

Ignore Ben's negative comment.
He's just jealous that he hasn't got a jumper like that. :D :run:

Have I mentioned that it's a really nice jumper. Bit thick for this weather though (the jumper that is).
