freeing up faders on my mixer

I am trying to find away of freeing up two faders on my mixer it’s a ( Denon x1500) with two of the faders shared by two separate cd players (Denon S3500) and a cortex HDC 1000 without having to keep switching channels on the faders

The other two faders are used up by my laptop with traktor duo via a Reloop Digital Jockey 2 Controller with an external sound card

The controller has its own mixer built in and via the master output on the external sound card it can be plugged straight into an amplifier

So with my mixer plugged into two of the amp’s inputs can I get away with plugging my laptop via the controller and sound card directly into the other two spare inputs on the amp

If this is possible could it work if at some time I use a bi amp set up

You have a matrix input on your mixer, so you can switch instantly between sources - do you really need to use more than 4 sources simultaneously??

No. I'm not sure what you mean by "spare" inputs on the amplifier. What make & model power amplifier are you talking about? (I've guessed you are using a power amplifier as opposed to a combo powered mixer). I imagine you may be referring to alternative paralleled inputs or link outputs - some amplifiers have both TRS jack and XLR inputs paralleled to give the option of hooking up with different connectors, but not both simultaneously, or the option with link outputs of daisy chaining a common signal to another amplifier.

That aside, as already has been pointed out, why not utilise the assignable matrix facility? - which is in fact one of the most versatile on that particular mixer. Just think about it sensibly, i.e. don't put both Denons or both cortex channels on the same input - that way you're not really restricted at all.

Thanks for the replies I appreciate I can switch sources and at the moment the Denons are on different inputs

A. Laptop (deck a)
B. Laptop (deck b)
C. CD & Cotrex (deck a)
D. CD & Cotyex (deck b)
I sometimes connect the master output of the sound interface with one channel on the
mixer this way I can use the controls ( faders) of the controller

I’m fine with the set up it was just out of curiosity and got me thinking is their a way of plugging the laptop (Via controller and the external sound cards master output) into the system with out having to go thru the Denon mixer
