Hi
Up for sale is my bcd3000. I wont go into the full spec but its basically a usb midi mixer that has a built in soundcard.
Ive used it a few times with VDJ and it has done a decent job.
I recently had it apart to give it a good clean up and get rid of the dust (im an electronics engineer).
Its in good working order and looks good.
Now the bad bits:
The master control pot and headphone pot could do with being replaced. The master pot isnt too bad but there is a certain part of the control where it goes from soft to loud very quickly. I normally have the master maxed out anyway and as it was plugged into my numark mixer i adjusted the volume accordingly there.
The headphone pot just doesnt seem to work that well. You can hear what your premixing but in a loud enviroment this might be a bit difficult. The way around this for me was to set the driver on the pc up so the left deck outputted via the master sockets and the right deck outputted through the headphone jack and then i could prelisten using the external mixer.
The mic socket has never seemed to work - i dont know if it was the driver i was using or what. Apparently this is a common problem according to the net.
This is an excellent mixer for mp3 mixing and i did plenty of gigs with it though it is in good condition and you couldnt tell!
Because of the above problems I am going to sell this for £80 ovno. Postage will be £5. The rpoblems above could easily be sorted by renewing the pots (i tried cleaning them but no difference) which shouldnt cost alot at all. I just never got round to replacing them as ive got a hercules rmx now.
