Today was the big day for the van and the MOT for me and after last year when it sailed through with flying colours unfortunately this year was a different story :( . I done all the checks I could and dropped it off to the garage right on opening this morning but it came to 3pm and I still hadn't heard a dicky bird. I called the garage guy and he said he had sent his assistant to pickup a part and it shouldn't be long. Well I'm glad I haven't got any bookings this weekend - it's a rare quiet spell at a usually busy part of the year - but if I had a gig tonight I would have been a miserable sight as the garage guy called an hour later and I went down to pickup the bill. A huge list of things needed doing :mad: :mad: and it has cost me a small fortune leaving me in queer street! :eek: :Censored: :(
I refuse to get down about it and have some cans chilling in the fridge and I'm still going ahead for my day trip down by the sea with the family tomorrow. This is not going to beat me but I can't help thinking that life sucks 95% of the time when your on the bread line :bang: :( (with reference to my redundancy last year and now having to rely on the mobile discos as my sole income). It's all not good but hey I don't want to put a downer on anyone especially with the lush weather at the moment. Hope all of you have a good weekend and some memorable gigs. I be glad to get back on the road but I got nothing until the 5th of July :confused: :confused: ... nevermind I might get a last minute booking.. fingers crossed.:beer1:
