On saturday i had my hercules rmx linked to the aux channel of my numark cd mix2 unit via phono(rca) leads. Then the numark cdmix to the amp via Jack plugs to phono leads.

The class d speakers (CD15ns i think and 12" tops) sounded excellent however i noticed a strange thing.

When i turned the balance of the Hercules rmx left and right i noticed the bass and treble was altered instead (bal to left turned treble off and left cd15ns on and then bal right just 12`s). I had the hercules connected via its output 1 and output 2 using normal drivers on laptop.

The output from the amp went from amp output1 to sub in from sub out to 12`s in and same again on output2 of amp to other side.

Also my amp was running 3/4 volume and seemed loud enough for the room but my old 600w soundlab amp could of done about the same volume on max.

Is the amp setup wrong (all dip switches left off)?
Is the hercules using the wrong outputs?

All the volume on the hercules and aux channel and master out were all maxed yet the room was quite small.

No idea at all. All I will say is that most Class D kit is not the loudest on the market. If you want loud, buy JBL, or Peavey.

I dont think its the class d`s and looking more towards the hercules as it has so many outputs but ive read and reread the manual and the 2 outputs i used seem correct (outputs 1 & 2).

Im using VDJ 6.0.2 and it is setup in there as Hercules controller with hercules soundcard (asio) and the output is single with headphones.

Very strange.

check the mapping for the controller in vdj
