Hi, iam looking into the entertainment buisness my self when i leave school. Does anyone know any good courses to go on?

well... i wouldn't mind installing sound equpiment in theaters and schools etc...
and have my mobile disco as a sort of weekend job/ partime

I know there are several sound engineering courses available at many colleges across the UK, but its always handy to get some "Hands On" experience. Either with a local DJ willing to take you along as a helper or perhaps a local PA hire/install firm would be willing to let you get some experience with them.

Possibly the best bet for you would be to go and see your school's careers adviser or a careers adviser who works for an external company. The best company for this would be Connexions.

They pointed me in the right direction when i needed help. There is more than likely a Connexions Centre near you, so worth an ask around as i found that they are more than likely to offer you more help when you meet them face-to-face, rather than in an e-mail, ect!
