Hi Guys,
I am looking for inspiration, ideas and perhaps some (free) help.
A very good field of mind, who is also a DJ, does a bit of event informal promoting. So far this is limited to like minded groups of 18-30s who basically go out and get leathered and he sorts out VIP areas, cheap club entry, shot promos etc, so it's a win-win for the venue and the punters.
He's now managed to sort a regular Thursday night spot in a well placed bar where the DJ (that's me!) plays classic 70's, 80's, 90's ... consisting of good bar music, club classics and late on, some cheese. The idea is to mix it up get the punters in, get them drunk and keep them there.
After a brief discussion the night was going to be called 'Back 2 the old skool', but without conjuring up images of smiley faces and too many drugs, we've settled on "Back 2 Skool" and plan to include all the good music from when people were growing up.
It is, of course, not a new idea this, but hope it is going to be a winner, however the idea is to start small as there is not really a budget for this and build as we go.
So to cut to the chase, I am looking for inspiration and ideas and perhaps those of you with graphical talent and time on your hands, a bit of free help for which we would be most grateful.
What we are looking for is a logo and sort of a theme that we can then use to produce flyers, posters, banners. We have powerpoint skills, but no creative ideas/skills as such if you understand so that is what I am looking for.
I know i am being really cheeky here, but working on the theory that 'if you don't ask, you dont get' I thought I would throw this into the mix. Also I like to think that I can be helpful when needed around the forum ... so pretty please :D :D :D
I await your thoughts/comments/ideas.
