Looking for ideas for a projector stand. Would prefer something that is capable of holding a projector and small laptop / notebook.
I have tried a stand on a tripod, which looks ugly, and a covered table which still did not have the right 'look'.
This is mainly for wedding photo slideshows and corporate functions.
Any suggestions preferably with links / prices.
Cheers :beer1:

Cheers, but would still need a table to sit on. Really looking for something freestanding.;)

Oh ok!
Edit: Looking through they do offer stands that could be used by themselves (a bit pricey though!)

I had the same problem in a marquee the other day. The laptop holer on a speaker stand was too high and the table was too low and looked unprofessional. You could not see the blooody thing anyway cos it was the hottest day this year but hey ho...
I was at a business networking meeting thurs and the bloke wheeled in a hip high thin on wheels which looked perfect.
Sure there are loads of them out there? This one is £100.

I actually just use one of these http://www.inta-audio.com/studio-equipment-c1/racks-stands-c8/studio-racks-c12/pulse-adjustable-laptop-projector-stand-p3401 complete with a nice draped white cloth. I considered getting some of the drapes made up like the white starcloth backdrops. With the white cloth, lights then netting (type thing), but it wasnt worth the hassle.
I know that theres no room for the laptop, but i ave a 15m VGA cable, so justkeep the laptop behind the screen, and run that cable out with the power one.

i would rather use a table or have a seperate lectern type thing (i use a karaoke thing with adjustable width and nothing aint falling off of that) with speaker pole if i was using a laptop.
Keeps it out the way unless you have a wireless speech or presenation with remote. There is nothing more annoying than someone getting in the way of a projector. :)
This is for other users though (possibly intoxicated) so equipment must be safe or even better belong to them!!

I always used to use a spare 10U High console case, projector and excess cabling inside, and all panels closed except for the little door at the back. Has several benefits,
- Drink/Idiot proof
- Looks professional
- Can't be knocked over.
- Case can be used to carry smaller items for transportation.
a 15m VGA cable off Ebay means that it can be run a fair bit away from the console/laptop. Again, keeping things out of harms way.
