S&H Booth

I am looking to hire a S&H booth for a 40th Birthday Party I have booked.

Details of the event:

Date - 7th May 2011
Venue - To be decided
Times - To be confirmed

Budget - We haven't been given one as of yet.

I am located in Buckinghamshire.

Hire for the time being but I will be eventually be buying one once I have the funds.

Acctually I could be driving by then as I get my provisional license in december and I don't think it will take me that long to learn so it could be a possibilty that I could drive up to you.

If not, then I will try and arrange a family member to pick it up.

The client hasn't specificly asked for the booth but she has asked for the full works so I am going to do my best to give her the full works. I am bored of using a table and starcloth now so I want to upgrade and hire in a s&h booth to see what they are like before I go and spend money on one.

If it's any use to you, there's a hire company very close to us that hires out booths.

If you're interested, let me know by PM and I'll send you their details. (Obviously, someone would need to collect / deliver, but it's a bit closer than Sheffield - being only 30-odd miles from you!)

How can you be booked when you have no budget or venue and its not far off being a year away? I dont see any point in hiring this if your serious about djing use your xmas money or something

The reason why I am booked now is because it is a family member who is going to be 40 next year and she has started planning now and has booked us for the event.

I don't get enough money at xmas etc to afford a S&H booth and this year I will be putting my money towards driving lessons etc.

I didn't know I had to mention that it was a family do :confused:

I meant explain to THEM about needing an S&H. Might be worth picking up one second hand as people are upgrading to the far superior DSB :D

Either a booth or if your that fed up of using a "table and cloth" why not invest in a kam/rhino etc etc frame stand ? Yes the booths look way more professional in my eyes and when funds are there i too will hopefully invest in one but for now my kam stand is good enough for me :)

I currently own a 4ft prolight deckstand with a overhead lighting bar. I think the booth will look better as I will be using a 4 metre truss system with 2 crank stands.

Yeah it will look better but will it earn you more money ?

Id look and say well you could always not use the uprights etc on the stand and just use the bottom half, and still be able to use the lighting gantry crank stands etc

Just an idea mate before jumping in and buying a booth ;)

I was going to get the booth + uprights if I did purchase one. The reason is because I would use the booth + uprights in small to medium venues and then the booth + 4 metre truss with crank stands for a large venue.
