European City Guide Scam

[Mark Wild]

Anyone else receive the carbon copy CONTRACT from these guys, which may lead you to believe you are just signing for a listing?

I don't wish to insult peoples intelligence at all but it seems 250,000 people have signed it and sent it back in error and been threatened with legal action if they don't pay. You may have had one or a few of these in the past and know the score but maybe some (like me) haven't.

I had one sent to me several weeks ago, it went straight in the shredder

I've been getting one for the last few years I think it's about 950 euros they send you a pay on delivery envelope to send back in, the form it does look like you just sign it and get a free entry, the charge is in very small print I always chop the form up into bits and put a bit more weight in there so when it's delivered to them they have to pay more for it, I really hate this kind of con.

Yep - did look kind of official. Not advertising so not interested.

Thanks for the heads up though.
