Cracking little DMX controller that (I use the same one). The 2 in-built ca-8 controllers are a nice touch too. I'm surprised it's not been snapped up already, it's an absolute steal at 65 quid.

Have you got any more details on the spec please? Do they master and slave or just run off DMX. Have you a manual or any more pictures or a video of them working?

I am very interested Tony, but would like to check a few things out in the manual - do they do master and slave is an important one to begin with until I get to grips with Daslight properly.

Darren,i take it you would want to run as a pair both doing the same thing.
To do that just put in same address with the buttons and link with DMX lead.
I may be wrong but Elation do the same model Designer Led 36 and there site has manual downloads.
I have never written shows for them ,as i have always used for stage lighting,
but i just hooked them up today to a Elation Show designer which is a 19" rack mounted controller this is the one with 48 presets so just pushed circle effect and they did perfect circles as a pair there is enough patterns for any mobile use,i dont know why more mobiles do not use this unit if there not to clever with DMX even CPC sell it cheap.
If you did want these i would prefer to deliver for cost of fuel if that helps.

You want to meet me? :D
What I need to know is if they can be linked master and slave without setting dips and if they can be put on invert without addressing them. Basically, how they work without a desk. I'll have a look for the other fixture and see if I can find a manual.

Before I found the Elation manual, I emailed my contact at Batmink to ask if they had any information or manual on Dortron and they replied...
" We did have a few samples from Dortron, however they were not up to standard so we never took them on as a supplier"
This worries me slightly, but you are saying they are fully working with no quality issues and do a good job? Did you say they were made in Germany or China?
I am still very interested, but obviously need to be absolutely sure about what I am thinking of buying.

Have spoke to Grant the owner of Batmink and he told me the Moving Heads From Dortron were very good ,but there led parcans were rubbish so thats why they did not stock ,i thought this was strange as Andy at Batmink does my repairs and commented how good the heads were.

I just got an email back from my contact who must have been told off!!
" I was just looking back through my emails from today and read through the reply I sent you,
I think it came across as me saying the moving heads were not up to standard? That is not really the way it was meant to sound.
Out of all the products they sent us to sample the moving heads were fine, we had various other products from them such as LED Pars which were not up to standard and therefore we decided not to take them on as a supplier as we were not looking to import a container load of moving heads only.
I hope that makes scenes? I didn’t want to put you off if you have found some for sale for a good price? "

To be fair, I did say to Tony on the phone that I took what he said with a pinch of salt as he could have meant anything really.
