New Dj Manchester area

Hi First Time here ...Been a DJ for 21 yrs had a break for 10 yrs now im going to start up again Trouble is although I have the experience I have no idea what equipment to buy Either Audio or visual Im looking to start very low key at first with a budget of £1000 I know thats limited but I have other "Irons in the fire" at the Mo. Could do with advice on either
Laptop versus Cd mixers
Wattage of amp/speakers
Lighting...in fact all aspects please
