Just got me thinking....

It seems reciently I have a fairly standard set of tunes I finish the night with at most gigs, based on a fairly bad experience at a club back in 1990 - thats a long story if you want to know, I generally end the night with the smoochy stuff, but it seems I have a fairly bullet proof set list for this. What does everyone else do at the end of the night.

For me, it starts a little like this - 15 mins from the end:

1. I've had the time of my life - Dirty Dancing
2. Jack Johnson - Better together

** insert a selection of really slow stuff **

And finally, depending on the night, we finish really slow or plump for Mr Rat Pack himself singing New York New York!

I dunno, I tend to find people don't want slow dances, as they're all still hyper and up for it! :teeth:

I normally try to fit one in though, but I'm no good at picking slow dances - so I just go for the tried and tested like How Deep Is Your Love, Love Is All Around etc etc

stairway to heaven - led zepplin
dont wanna miss a thing - aerosmith

love hurts - nazareth

to name a few - always going thru collection to refind some good old smooches

but i find they only want 1 these days and often want to carry on afterwards

Me too! :)
As me to tell you the story about my first ever night in a nightclub (Panthers in Bolton, which I am sure is no longer there). Following that, I will NEVER ever get a crowd going at the end EVER again! :omg:

Goodnight blah blah blah...

Hit The Road Jack - Ray Charles (or It's Over - Roy Orbison)
New York New York - Frank Sinatra (depending on crowd)
(Slow) If You're Looking For A Way Out - Odyssey
Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life........

On variations on the theme.

For a Wedding, I like to end the night with the B&G's first dance if they are still around and it's not a bizarre track.

The Weather Girls did a nice version, but I still prefer Ray Charles.
