Open Mic Night

I'm currently sat at an open mic night as a member of the audience. It's the organisers first one in this venue and you'd think he'd make a better effort.

Two 100w prosound speakers from maplins, two karaoke mics that cost about tuppence ha'penny each and some sort of mixer made by mattel.
Speakers on tables and the rest sat on a pool table.

I'm off home shortly to wonder why I've no gig tonight :D

Seriously, I know it's an open mic night and equipment isn't a priority but surely this is not acceptable.

And for those who ask if there are many others in the audience....no there is not
