Well last night finally came around. I was a bit aprehensive about the playlist i was given but i gave it a bit of a jig around and in the end everyone was happy.
As the venue had a dB restrictor and held about 100 people i decided to leave the class D subs at home and just try it with the 12s tops. I also decided to use my normal EP4000 as backup and use my normaly backup which is a WA1300W. Well i was amazed! The 12s had plenty of bottom end (had them on normal stands) and the WA1300 had plenty of room left.
I managed the whole night without the power tripping off though the red light on the meter came on a few times when they were all singing!
I wasnt entirely sure i was plugged into it as there was 2 sets of sockets and the supply to each socket came from different directions so i plugged into the one with the tv already plugged in!
Anyway, the night went really well - everyone dancing from about 9pm -12am finish. I even had a slight problem where the bride and groom took so long for their first dance that there was people already dancing before their first dance!
Next gig is a mates wedding im doing for free (the little so and so asked me when i had one to many last year and i said id do it as a wedding present!). Im also a guest so only god knows how thats going to go!
Top tunes of the night were Mr Brightside, Town called Malice, Everlong and a dance mix i done of i gotta feeling, sexy chick, bonkers, we speak no americano, put your hands up for detroit and let the bass kick.
Sorry but theres no pics as my roadie (guest on the night i knew) "forgot" to take pics and my camera wasnt working!
