Problem with Pioneer CDJ500 MkII Ltd Edition CD Player

Hi all,

I've been looking through my equipment and have decided to start getting rid of some stuff.

I have 2 x Pioneer CDJ500 MkII Ltd Edition CD Players in seperate flightcases.
I tested them yesterday and noticed that one of them has a slight problem and wondered if anyone with a tech head could suss out what the problem could be?

The speed adjustment doesn't seem to be working on one of them. The slider is fine but it doesn't seem to be making any difference to the speed. If you slide it up and down pretty quickly it will eventually get there. I haven't used these for around 2 years and so they have just been packed away and that's it.

Is it worth me taking it apart and checking to see if there is a loose connection or dust inside?

The pitch faders are replaceable. If the other unit works with no issues, swap them over to see if the problem still exists. If it does, it'll be the processor board..

Could be a costly repair considering how old they are now :(

Know this might sound daft saying that but on the later models and other brands you can lock the pitch adjustment so sliding it wont affect the pitch/tempo
