wanted, 400w rms amp

It dose not matter about condition or make as long as it works fine,

Might be worth noting what inputs etc.. he is wanting.

No good having only speakon outputs from an amp if hes using jacks or binding posts

Probably better than buying something secondhand that might be a bit iffy for a hundred quid , then as he gets more into it it would make great backup amp.
