Fri Night (Tonight) Im at Sutton Fields Tavern for a disco night. The pub have a disco night every month. (Open pub if anyone fancies coming along)
8:00pm - 11:30pm.

Sat - No discos for me this week. Im off away camping for a week tommorow. Going to the haven site. Golden Sands in Mablethorpe. Will be chilling out. Probably down at Ingoldmells (near skegness during the week)

Saturday A.M. - meeting with the top brass in a newly built Hotel (wish me luck)
Saturday P.M. - Wedding for someone who used to go to a studenty/indie pub I used to DJ at, 20 years ago! Funnily enough, he searched for me on the internet and the first thing he asked me, was if I was the Darren who used to DJ in the Rising Sun!

Baby sitting all weekend. We have 2 grandsons staying (10 & 7) so will be trying to entertain them. Just how much junk food can 2 small boys eat?

Now, how to prise them away from TV /games and get them out of the house for a while.

Saturday- 14 year olds birthday party in very posh hall near Hexham JLS Lady Gaga Cheryl Cole all the way. Whoopy do.

Sunday- A 40th birthday party for a company MD at a very posh hotel in Gateshead. Looking forward to it as I've never played at either of these two venues

Both fairly local, which is nice for a change.

Wedding tomorrow setup is 2.30pm. Looking forward to it as it's out of my usual coverage area on a 400 acre estate. It's the marquee one I mentioned a few weeks back when we were discussing all things generators - so fingers crossed I'll have no problems on that front!

Got my playlist in early this week and all looks good. The client has been emailing me all week with extra requests and I just said keep them coming! :) So far she wants male voice choir music for the photos outside around 3.15-4pm, the meal and some nice background music up to around 7pm, then I'll provide microphones for the speeches, first dance, bouquet throwing all at 8pm - and then its me and the band up to midnight.

Not got any paid work until later this month then unless I get a last minute booking for next weekend as the following week I'm best man for a mate's wedding in Poland (and I will see how they entertain guests at weddings over there whilst having a vodkas I would have thought!) and the following week my other mate has invited me to Coombe Abbey nr Coventry (Anyone been there???) for his wedding and I'm dj'ing for free at his wedding instead of buying a wedding gift etc.

No "work" for me per se this weekend either.

In a few weeks I'm going back to doing some pub/club work for some local agencies: so tonight (and tomorrow night if Mrs JonnyBoy gives me a pass) I'm mainly doing "market research" (can I write liquid refreshment against tax?) in some local cabaret venues to see what the turns are doing these days and if I can squeeze a better fee by offering a disco to last bell after I've sung!

Have a great time in Haven mate - I always enjoy these sites when I go. The entertainment (live acts) are usually pretty good at Haven sites, so you should have fun watching some other schmo sweat for the crowd.
(Although the in-house disco after live shows are sometimes is a bit cringy IMO... Court of King Karatacus anyone... it usually passes me by*)

Haha.... I find it a bit cringeworthy too. But hey its mainly for kids but its not too far away. The bands there are usually good. I would have preferred to go abroad. But gigs are holding me back.

That's why we have grandchildren for 8 days. Mum & Dad are off on holiday to Cyprus for their 10th anniversary minus the boys for a change.

Nowt this weekends - Got a 30th party next weekend - Thank god not another wedding - Customer is an Indie / Dance Chic so hopfully will be able to play some different music ( more to my personal taste) :)
