Emulator is the software though isn't it? That touch screen is the dog's dangly bits. That's what I want for Christmas.

Might be wrong but I think Emulator is the multitouch midi software and it is somehow incorporating Traktor. I use Tractor and there are a few extra whistles and bells there that I don't have.

From Emulator website:

No, I see that as an must have tool for our trade. After seeing that you just cant use mere CDJ's or MEP's can you? Its just wrong. :D

Absolutely Neil, I'm 100% with you on that one - I think it's a vital piece of kit and it should be made law that you have one - well at least that's what I may tell the missus :D

The screens arent cheap though a 50" comes in at nearly £8000 for see through one.
Still fun though I saw one of those screens demoed on a tech program at christmas. Wasnt used for music but for interactive gaming but nice concept though.

I cannot think of anything worse than trying to DJ with a touchscreen, it's just wrong! Call me old school but I need platters to control my mix and pitch sliders to make adjustments, this would be like trying to DJ with a touchscreen till system.

I've been DJing with a 17" touchscreen for about 5 years, excellent system even if it does mean the lady guests feel they need to hang around behind the console more than usual :-)

I understand that Pioneer has a system like this for release soon,it has 2 cdjs and a mixer all on a touch screen.

It had to come next step on from the oodj which has been a great system which i am still using now and then and mine is the very first one ever made and has never let me down.

Sound intriguing :) Is it as good as this? Definitely the future as a bid to make the dj that much more interactive to the crowd. I will definitely get something like this if its at a reasonable price (under 2k). bet the first things that come out will be more than that as there is such a market for it and all dj's are gadget freaks - well most are anyway. :)
