Top 100 played...

I was bored today and had to prepare a list of all my tracks as one of my clients has requested this. So at the same time i looked throuh my PCDJ logs to put together a top 100 played tracks... quite interesting really, and theres a few suprises in there that i didn't realise i'd played so much.

The logs span from 10th December to last weekend, so its based on about 25 gigs (unless i've accidentaly deleted some of the logs at some point..)

Are you going to put your playlist on your website which I think looks very neat and professional--your site will get people interested but then theres only generic headings--no actual tracks mentioned which some people are keen to know about--better to put some meat on the bone--so to speak!

Out of interest whats the average age group/ type of function you have played these tracks to?

Hi,

Yes, i do plan on adding a top 25 page to the website with a link to download the full list. Thanks for the comments on the site by the way :)

That list is made up of about 6-7 mixed age corporate xmas gigs, NYE, 4 weddings, 2 school proms (1 year9, 1 year11), 3 pub gigs for the football, a 10th, two 13ths, an 18th, a 21st, two 30ths, two 50ths, and probably a couple more that i've forgotten about.

Well its a massive cross-over track i reckon. Works well with any age group. I did a season in Mallorca last summer, where the bar would see all ages from 14 upwards (mainly below 20 though) and it would get played at least once every night!

From the extras that pete listed i play "this old heart of mine" in almost every motown set i do, so that must have narrowly missed the top 100. Living on a prayer and 9 to 5 I also play alot. Must say i rarely get that good a reaction to "relight my fire" so don't play that too often.. t-rex, don't stop till you get enough, mustang sally and love really hurts get played alot too..

If you're not bored yet, then here's some more facts 05 - 06, i played 1072 unique tracks, so far in 06 - 07 i've played 480. My collection is about 11,200.

How do you print your logs out?

Its done fairly manually. I import the log.ini file into excel, sort alpahbetically, then go through and delete repeat tracks and add the amount of instances of that track by the side of the one i leave. Then when its all done, sort by that figure and you have the most played...

I usually add a few gigs at a time, in which case i just copy/paste the logs each gig, re-sort alphabetically and look for the ones with no number by them.
