Busy one here.

Friday - Wedding in Dorking. It was booked through a wedding planner I know who recommends me & gets me a few bookings each year. The great thing about working with her is that she always emails me the full itinerary for the entire day.

Saturday - Wedding in a mansion just outside Guildford. According to their website, the room I'm in is the same room where George III held his coronation ball.

Sunday - Pub quiz in Isleworth.

Monday - Pub quiz in Epsom.

Got a bit busy due to a couple of last minute jobs!

Today - Picked up some extra parquet dance floor I need for the weekend.

Tommorow - Setup for a Wedding a 11am, return to DJ from 7pm-11.30pm. 20ft x 20ft B&W Dance Floor to be collected plus a run to Redditch for a few extra bits I need to hire in for the weekends bookings.

Friday - Setup full band PA with 2.5Kw FOH, 4 x Monitors, Mics etc. Install a 27ft x 15ft Parquet Dance Floor

Saturday - Collect PA Hire (AM) + DJ booking 7pm - 12am

Sunday - Install 6m x 3m Starlight Backdrop (first booking for my own one that I've just bought), Collect Parquet Dance Floor and collect backdrop at 8pm (Asian Wedding, so it's just a daytime do)

Monday - Another Wedding with early setup at 10/11 and DJ from 7pm - 11.30pm

Be ready for some sleep by Tuesday!

Well that's my weekends work done. As mentioned earlier in the thread, had to play out through the venues own PA which initially was weird (first gig in 35 years where my old man hadn't used an amp) but when the venue's system is Bose...well, could have been worse. Lit the place well and reckon we had a minimum of 20 maximum of 80 people dancing all night long! Not back in the day job til Wednesday now...aaaaaaah bliss.

did a 21st last night for a family ive done many jobs for before. only around half the invited guests showed up, but there was still around 60 there.

all went well with plenty dancing and requests. i finished as arranged at 12.45am and started to pack away, when suddenly all hell broke loose with two drunk woman trying to kill each other. Glass's were flying around, one which narrowlly missed me.

it seemed to be over quite quickly, but it definalty spoiled an otherwise decent night.

it turned out to be the girlfreind of the birthday boy, and her sister who were fighting!!
