USB 3 Portable hard drive

Would there be any point in getting a USB 3 portable hard drive for my D2 & Cortex , would it speed up loading or make playing music files any better ?

Well given that the ports on the d2 at least, and I'd suspect Cortex also, are USB2, no.

The speed of the connection protocol doesn't affect the speed at which data can be read from or written to the actual drive.

Are you saying loading speed is slow--my Cortex is about 5 seconds max--

Playing music files better--how does that work im confused-- are you talking quality--how many ways can you play an MP3

No the D2 is a bit slow sometimes but the USB 3 hard drive I was looking at was an unpowered one that tend to be a bit slower to load I thought it may speed it up a bit, I purchased one anyway works a treat for the money it also has USB 3 option if required later on.

I think it also depends on how full your hard drive is--:confused:
